About Eiva
Why Eiva exists
I started out as a creative, shooting for brands and waiting months to be paid for work I'd already delivered. I moved on from the camera a long time ago. The people around me didn't. Most of my friends are models, directors, producers, artists and the agencies who represent them, and every month I watch them invoice companies with money in the bank and wait 90 days for it.
Invoice finance has existed for decades. It just isn't for them. It asks for a limited company with trading history, every invoice you raise, a minimum turnover most talent never reaches, a charge over the business and often a personal guarantee. The minimums start in the tens of thousands. It looks at the borrower and never at the invoice.
So we built the version that looks at the invoice. Upload it, see an offer, get paid. We're already funding invoices for talent and agencies, and the platform is how we do it at scale.
We started with the hardest part: getting paid. Next is everything around it. Contracts, budgets and payments for creative work, in one place, for talent and the agencies who represent them.
Team
Backed by Haatch
Haatch is an early-stage venture fund that backs UK software companies before most investors will look. They backed Eiva at pre-seed, which means the business, the model and the team have been through an investor's diligence, and the money behind the platform is patient capital, not a loan.
